San Japan 2014

painterkirby
I know it's a bit early, but is anyone planning on going? It's going to be July 18-20 at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Personally, I'd really like to make a few new friends. I'd also like to host photoshoots if anyone would like a shoot of their cosplay. Anyone plan on going? :)

Not in San Antonio but Houston, I might check out San Japan for a day but it doesn't list their single day price yet on the website. :/ do you happen to know?

I wanted to go last year but ended up not being able to go. I need to check to see about getting a hotel room booked first. I have friends who live there but one of them (they both are married to each other) is a control freak bitch and I want to avoid drama by not staying at their place while I'm in S.A. for the con.

I can understand that. Hope you can go this year! D:

Also I need to budget this because my buds wanna try to go to A-kon 25 too. But I read that Akira Yamaoka is suppose to be at San Japan so I'm really wanting to go now. The hotel rate for the Gran Hyatt isn't bad. However my trouble is finding a hotel for A-kon 25 because the Host and Over Flow hotels are sold out. Both nearby hotels are also sold out. Some that are 5-8mins driving distance away are 40mins by foot and there are no paid parking lots around the host hotel. Phuck... I may have to pick one over the other.
