ReReRewatching

Sometimes, but I don't want to get tired of the same series so I take long breaks (often years) between rewatching. Also waiting for the legendary otaku girlfriend to rematch stuff with.

I only do it years after the fact when I forget most of it, or if it's on tv or stream or something I'll watch individual episodes. I do the same thing with LN and manga, I will go back and read specific chapters or volumes I enjoyed. Also I will watch the prior season or read the prior volume before a new release comes out to get a refresh on the story if I need it.

I used to have a bad habit of rewatching series a ton of times. Now I only rewatch a series if I didn't understand all of it the first time ( so to get a better understanding of it etc) and if its a series I really enjoyed then I'll give it like a few months before I consider watching it again.

I'll re-watch series that I thoroughly enjoy. I've seen Black Lagoon three times now (the first time in Japanese, and the much better English dub twice). I've also watched Baccano! now twice. I've seen Azumanga Daioh three times. I've seen Toradora! twice, but because my fiance wanted to watch it and I was fine with it. I plan on watching the somewhat obscure KimiKiss Pure Rouge again, as well as Soul Eater. Another I watched now three times is HOTD. All of these and more I watch simply because I just loved those series. However, an exception to that is if I plan on watching a series for doing a review. At that point, I'd watch the series a MINIMUM of two times. Once to get a feel for it, and again to spot any details I may have missed (I do this with movies too). This was the case for FMA: Brotherhood. I had already seen it, and by no means is it a short series, but since I had decided to review it, I watched through it again. It was somewhat grueling, but still very enjoyable, and it allowed me spot various small details that I didn't notice the first time.

I rewatch many of them: HOTD- 6 times SAO- 4 times Mirai Nikki- 4 times Angel Beats- 3 times Death note- 3 times Diabolik Lovers- 3 times Rosario Vampire- 2 times Also planning to rewatch many others, but can't seem to find any free time atm.

I've watched Dragon Ball Z from start to finish about five times, and Death Note twice. I'm about to watch Koi Kaze all the way through a second time once I get the box set tomorrow.
