Advice on Dragon Ball!!!

joseph87mar
So a while back I decide to finally watch DB and DBZ. They were both awesome. I like DB the most. So give me some info if I should continue with DBGT and the rest. It seems that I'm reading up in a lot of negative if I continue, even with the DBZK witch is a remake of DBZ.

It depends I guess. The new dragonball super erases anything that happens in GT so it's kind of a waste of time now. If you're talking American dubs Kai does possibly the best job ever of translating the series with the real attack names and everything.

I can't find any legal means of watching the latest Dragonball series, but I did just finish watching GT and I would have rather watched that before the other two series because GT just doesn't compare to the original stories. I would recommend all the stand alone movies which aren't cannon to the universe but they feel closer in tone than GT.

@rOB: So you recommend GT then? Because I really like the first Story of DB. It Cracked me up. I laughed at every episode and just didn't expect it to be that great. @markrodiguez: I watch DBZ in Dub and it was great. So not sure if I should watch Kai, basically watching the same story all over with fewer episodes.

My advice if you finished db/z would be to skip GT since it's non-canon and watch Dragon Ball Super the new future trunks arc that just started is really worth watching especially if you enjoyed db/z

@Horrorhead: Cool, thanks for the info Horrorhead. ;)

I would sugest to watch DBsuper first, It's awesome and you will be at the end in no time. It's far from finished so you can watch GT or any other serie while you wait for the new eps. Oh and remember that super has't any dubs yet so it will take a little while to get used to it.

I'd only recommended GT if your just hungry for more DBZ otherwise avoid it, the only good thing that came outta GT was SS4 Goku (What a badass.) Super is meh not bad but not "super" good.

Watch DBGT and DBS also check out some of the spin-off manga's. Just enjoy it for what it is and if they spend all episode powering up just skip those episodes. You can skim fighting episodes.
