for a solid perforamnce/price ratio i would suggest an i5 6600k/Z170 combo W/8gb of ram but really depends on your budget ono;;

Should be fine, gpu is more important but I don't think Fallout 4 is super hard to run.

Very rarely will you notice any difference between i5 and i7. i5 is dual core and i7 is quad core. Only in heavy multitasking and certain games will an i7 make a difference. You can find reviews online to see if it matters with the games you want to play. You can overclock an i5 to make it even faster, an i7 will get hotter faster if overclocked.

You'll be fine, I can run Fallout 4 just fine on a Radeon HD 7870, and a AMD A10-7850k.

I think I recall that it's better to use 2 sticks of 4gb vs 1 stick of 8gb but in general that ram looks ok if you aren't overclocking. But which motherboard are you using?

Agree with BlueRose, you don't need anything crazy to run fallout 4

what? i never heard such a thing lol an i5 is also a quad core just the same as an i7 it just doesn't have hyper threading..thats about it, but yes a 4690k is also a sweet pick :D hell if overclocking isn't even something you wanna do just get a xeon processor for the same price as a 4690k
