Naruto Problem!!!

Now I just want to say I'm not very knowledgeable about the Naruto series but, wasn't sakura supposed to be his love interest, not hitana????? Why didn't he end up with her in The Last, Naruto movie??? Wasn't one of the series main points Naruto trying to win sakura over???

Hinata has always liked Naruto. Sakura's feelings were more towards Sasuke and I think in the long run Naruto starts to realize that Sakura could possibly never like Naruto the way she liked Sasuke.

Naruto competed with Sasuke by trying to gain Sakura's affections and prove to him that he was better. His feelings were similar to a school yard competition for the most popular girl in school. Hinata admired Naruto even when the village hated him and that admiration became the foundation for love, so that was why I enjoyed those two getting together.

Yeah, it was pretty much just a competition. And like I said in a different thread, Naruto and Sasuke are opposites, or foils, of each other. As Sasuke doesn't want Sakura but gets her, Naruto does want Sakura but doesn't get her. Their being complete opposites is one of the main focuses of the series. You'll see down the road that Naruto tries to make Sasuke more like him, but it doesn't take.
