Beautiful Animes

I was wondering: What is the most beautiful anime you've ever watched. For me, I'd have to say Mushishi without a doubt. The intro, the idea, the ending songs, the storyline: All of it just adds togther to create a beautiful and relaxing anime.

Your Lie In April (shigatsu wa kimi no uso) is definitely up there. Maybe The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya?

as far as shows go, the stuff that comes to the top of my head is Shinsekai Yori other than that.. a lot of movies come to mind pretty much anything by Hayao Miyazaki and pretty much anything by Makoto Shinkai. I was also a big fan of the animation work in Sword of the Stranger (which is actually my favorite anime movie that I could watch again and again). Also Nerawareta Gakuen was super pretty. The rest of it was kinda forgettable though.

Anything by Miyazaki. SAO seemed to have really pretty animation and 5cm per Sec.

Seirei No Moribito ... Lar'En-Ciel opening song ... a beautiful background... what could you ask for more .. (its on Netflix if you folks wanna see it )

I would say Soukyuu No Fafner. This is not your mother's shonen. In order to protect some of the last vestiges of humanity occupying a small island from an unknown alien threat, the islanders must construct giant mechs from organic alien material. The tragic part is that the only people who can pilot the mechs are young children (go figure). Even if the children were lucky enough to survive a few battles (high casualty rate) the machine would gradually corrupt their body and ultimately kill them. These machines are necessary for the survival of humanity so every so often families must submit their children for testing to be pilots. If they do become a pilot they know they are signing their death warrant.

Angel Beats is my favorite anime but the most "beautiful" not sure if it's the best looking. I think the best looking anime I've ever seen is Garden of Words. Though that was only a movie or OVA or whatever the right term would be. Yuushibu is probably the best looking anime show I've ever seen...though I have only watched the first episode.
