How can otaku change without changing

beatsbodyshot
Is it possible to change your otaku lifestyle from being a hikikimori /otaku to being active while still being an otaku ?

yes? I love being an homebody otaku. However I got out about 3 to 4 times a week. sometimes once a day. It is easy to change, if you think about what you want to do. Like, join a gym to get into shape. You get out once a day or every other day or something like that. Go out for the sunday newspaper every sunday to get coupons. Go shopping, for things other than just anime. (I found some noise canceling headphones the other day that work great and I was out shopping for new ones since mine broke). Go for a walk in a park to take pictures of the trees and such. Just pause for a moment and think. If you want to tie that to still being an otaku then go out and try to find something that matches a moment or background from an anime.

Dude, I work full time, have band practice, work out hand have church events regularly, I'd say its possible if you only average 3 hours of anime or video games a day. And average 6 hours of sleep a night.

I work. ALOT. Im a homebody at times but it is not in anyway a fear of leaving the home or fear of interacting with people that keeps me indoors like with hikikimori. My only issues is confined space with countless people and crowds. I get severely irritable. You can condition yourself though. I hated talking to new people and I would nearly pass out having to talk in front of a class in high school. After a speech class and meeting up with people countlessly in college, I take it all in stride. It's possible. Just takes time and effort.

make friends that are not into anime + spend genuine quality time that you enjoy with them you'll gradually find yourself spending less hours binge-watching anime in your bedroom
