Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (Spoiler Warning)

I've recently finished this awesome anime,and I thought the ending was pretty cool,but my problem is that I don't like the idea of Edward losing his alchemy,I understand why he did it,but it bothers me,any thoughts?

i think the end was well done because it reinforced the idea you can't gain anything without losing something in exchange. so like i mean he got his brother back and an arm, i wouldn't push it if i was him. sucks that he doesn't have alchemy but atleast he can't try bringing his mom back from the dead again haha, it was a big lesson i guess. alphonse if i remember correctly still has it though. i'd personally like to see maybe a bonus movie of their lifes after but honestly i thought they cut all loose ends in the series to make the best possible end.

yeah but still I don't know why him losing his alchemy bothers me so much,also the fight with father was really cool,and the ending was fulfilling in a way.
