Kill la Kill

Anyone like it? It has often been called "that show about a schoolgirl that gets superpowers from.a thong". But I liked it.

I love the over-the-top action that comes with these modern Gainax shows (Yes, I know it was made by Trigger, but they are former Gainax employees). Not to mention the Japanese version has Toshihiko Seki, which appeals to me as a big fan of his work in Kamen Rider Den-O. Though, to be fair, I only watched the first 8-or-so episodes subbed before deciding to wait for the dub. Even if it does have my favorite Japanese VA I still don't like trying to read and watch the action at he same time. That said, it kinda bothered me that they were trying to have a serious storyline and still be incredibly goofy. The whole Nudist Beach and glowing nipples thing just got really aggravating because it started to feel way out of place when the story started getting dark. I just feel like Gurren Lagann had a better transition from a goofy show to an epic space opera, and maintained a better balance between humor and drama.

Meh I like it. Any chick, real or not, that can muster up a scowl like that has my vote.

Alot of hype for it is STILL going around. I'd say let it die. The hype isn't as high as Attack on Titan or Tokyo Ghoul, but you know what I mean.

I haven't seen this much fan service since Serviceman from Bobobo!

If you want fanservice, go watch Popotan, Highschool of The Dead, Ah! My Buddha, and Girl's Bravo. You'll know the meaning of fanservice then. lol
