Romance is dead?

So I was having a conversation with my friend, and that phrase popped up. He was trying to warn me about being too nice to girl even though he admits that I it's just the way I am. What do you guys think?

Romance is usually good at the beginning of most relationships and at various times later on in the relationship depending on the couple. Most girls I've known usually like it and think it's sweet. It's a good way too show affection. Some might think it's cheesy though : x but it's definitely not dead.

The point my friend was making was that girls basically think like guys. Because of that, they know that when someone treats them nicely it's because they're cute and/or the guy wants her and they take advantage of that fact. On the other hand guys who treat them like they would any other guy seen mite attractive. He also added how that's true for most girls except for rich Asian girls who actually want to be treated like princesses...

If a woman loves a poor man she has a rich heart. Show her who you are nothing more nothing less. If she goes for it you may have a keeper on your hands

My opinion of romance is a bitter sweet memory. Romance only happen in a swift moment but after it gone, people turn in reality. If you have to choose between romance and reality, many will choose reality. Don't think girl will only love you based on your heart loving, but based on your success in life. I don't want to burst anyone bubble because I have seen many couples break up and myself included. Girls aim for higher achievements, think of it as a job position term for switching job. They did nothing wrong but to see or to be seen. It's their choice whether they can find their own happiness. We have no right to stop them but I only feel pity for them.
