legal vs illegal stream

this has probably been brought up in the past but I'm curious as to others opinions on the matter. I want to know which you use, whether illegal streaming is beneficial or not and overall just what you think and the reason behind your choice.

I personally have used illegal streaming sites especially when Crunchyroll wasn't free, however I usually would buy the series later when it became available in a box set. I do believe there is a benefit to the industry because of illegal streaming site due to more people getting into anime because the exist but it's a double edged sword.

I've never thought about it. I have a crunchyroll account and if an anime isnt there I either download it, or find a site with HD/1080p features to watch it in. Sometimes if my friends have the animes I would borrow them.

I think overall I've only watched 2 series illegally. I don't like streaming, mainly because the setup I have hurts my eyes when watching videos/playing games. If I really want to watch something I just buy it and watch it on less irritating monitors.
