He doesn't look like him!

Or wait...awww her boobs aren't that big...

Idk how many people out there are looking for that 'perfect' mate. There are alot of stereo-types. Do you ever find it difficult to see a human rather it be a he or she, as attractive after watching anime? Or finding someone you are attracted to?

For instance, I love long hair on men and I think that is because of all the anime of bishis with long hair I have seen.

If you look at it in a strictly physical aspect I would say yes, anime and manga play out all the “beauty” stereotypes raising your expectations on the opposite sex and making you desire certain features on your love interest, of course it makes it rather difficult to find that “perfect” person that looks like your favorite character or someone that you are attracted to at first glance. But I think that if you only look for the “external ”beauty of a person you will miss out on that special someone that is meant for you and is as beautiful on the inside as all the anime/manga characters.

...as all the anime/manga characters are on the outside.

I agree with you. I think how a man truly is inside can outway the way he looks. I'm just curious about how other people get around those stereo-types or decide to keep to what they desire to find the one they love.

I try to be more or less realistic when it comes to the opposite gender. I mean, come on, not all girls are super skinny and/or have big boobs! Try to know a person inside instead of merely focusing on external appearances. Matter of fact, you might just hit it off with this person. Believe me, it works! Same thing applies to guys, too.

The dating world is superficial, first impressions make it or break it for me. Not that I have high standards, but I need chemistry.

Chemistry is important. A lot of guys don't get that but relationships kinda suck without it.

I blew up my chemistry set! But seriously, I have to agree with you, Catbus. I've seen relationships tank due to bad chemistry. There are other factors involved, but if there's not much in terms of chemistry, it ain't gonna last.
