Subs vs Dubs

I want to know what people think about one of the most debated topic in anime. For me I really don't have a problem with either, but I would like to know what the community thinks.

Dub. Always dub for me if I have the option. I have nothing against sub, but I don't speak Japanese, so I don't have the tongue to judge if the voice work is good or not. The only time I ever watch sub is when XYZ anime doesn't have a dub. This has only happened with Kinnikuman for me.

I would generally prefer sub over dub, i find that subs overall have better voice acting or at least i feel that they do, some people would argue that it's pretty hard to judge voice acting from a language you don't speak which i guess has some truth to it. That said i will go out of my way to watch the dub of the shows i really like with mixed reactions, the DN Angel dub was terrible but i found the School Rumble dub to be one of the best I've heard and in my opinion is just as good as the sub.

Yeah that's why I can't choose between them I prefer both. I think the quality of dubs have increased over the years, I think the best example that both can agree is the Cowboy Bebop dub as the example of what a dub should be.

Varies depending on the show.

^This. There are some I can think of that have a special exception of having the Japanese cast actually speak English (Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad and Black Lagoon come to mind). These I prefer hearing in it's native tongue. As for everything else, whatever I hear first is what I prefer. For example, it sounds strange hearing a sub when I heard the dub first, and vice versa. I'm weird like that. [strange thought: what if 'substep' actually didn't have any bass or 'drops' in it at all; and 'dubstep' was just a bad translation? Sorry...Osaka moment...continue]

^Sometimes when the Japanese cast speaks English its turns out sounding funny, not in a bad way though(sometimes that is case in some), they try at least.

We all hve our own opinion and I really like both sub or dub. It just depends on the show and how the voice of the character fits in their personality...
